The Apprentice
Finally, it is over. Kelly won in the second season of The Apprentice. Anybody who would have voted for Jen? (okay, Asia is in Season 2, while the US is planning Season 4 already)
How did you like the show? It is one of the few reality shows that I watch. There are a few tips from Donald Trump that I picked up along the way, but mainly, I like the dynamics that went on in the different team during the sessions.
A lot of in-fighting, back-stapping and so on. Fighting for survival in the boardroom. And so on. Not my way of doing things, actually, and I am not sure if I would like to work in such hyper-competitive environment. Nothing against competition, but internal competition could and should look different.
If you observe the way how the different candidates carried themselves in the sessions - their body and facial language, well, it didn't show a lot of respect for teamwork, something that I respect a lot. Neither did it show a lot of respect for others.
The candidates of the second season were selected from 1 million applicants. I am not sure about those who watch the show as well - but I am sure know that I wouldn't like to have any of the winners working with me. God Pity America if those were really the best of the best.

jennifer is more suited in the court room than in a boardroom. in court, you can out-talk people but in the boardroom, you may talk all you want but can still get outvoted. ;)

Something I had noticed when I started watching the Apprentice 2. Most candidates were good looking - which in turn led me to conclude they were chosen more for their looks to garner viewers for the show.
After watching the show for more than a season, I have also come to a conclusion that Trump has his own agenda when choosing those to be fired. In boardroom brawls for example, he tends to favor individuals who are more verbal than silent - which encourages participants to bad mouth each other. The editors of the show too obviously did a good job in covering up some tiny details that could potray the candidates as humans- after all corporate America is better shown as a hungry *shark*.
Let's not forget that most of the participants also quit their previous jobs just for the competition. That probably induces the intense spirit of competition in them, as after 12 weeks, they have nothing to fall back upon (unless they get hired by a head hunter who chanced on them).
Sometimes, I wonder if it's worth it to quit one's job and join such a public competition especially when all the tiny missteps would be aired globally for all to see.
By the way, if you continue watching Season 3, you will probably like it better than Season 2. I will be quitting watching the show after this season, but I did learn a thing or two from it.

but they played against each other yet tried to gain each other respect and at the same time instilled fear so they won't get wipe out in the boardroom!
you might don't want them in your team, but in the end of the day the winner proved that in difficult situation they are able to perform and win over their competition.
It takes a lot of talent and experience and ability to do that and if I run a multi-million company I sure want that kind of person to head one of my companies.

Kind of hard to find a person who's not obese, ok looking with the right amount of brain and attitude.
So, I believe, it's indeed the best of the above mention combination that got the candidates shortlisted.
I don't want any of them in my team either.
