I am not a spiderman - my experience of falling into a drain
That was painful.
This morning, when it was still dark, I walked on the parking lot toward the building where I had a meeting. I thought I saw some stairs just before me and naturally, moved my leg in a position to walk them up.
Next thing I know, I fall. It wasn't a staircase, but a drain. Straight into it. And landed, luckily not face down, but in a standing position with my legs spread wide. Like Jackie Chan, just before he kicks.
Pain came up my leg, immediately. I couldn't move my right leg and it felt as if it fall asleep, totally and 100 times worse. Since it rained, well, I was totally wet as well!!
Instead of going to the meeting, I went to the doctor. My upper thigh feels really hurt, but gets better and better.
May be I shouldn't fall into drains anymore, stop pretending to be spiderman. This was the second time in my life. The first was in Ghana, years, years back. And THAT was worse!!! I am getting old, may be, so I decided to stop falling into drains and walk around them!
Something similar ever happened to you?
