Cables and socks
Have you ever asked yourself why it happens that you organise and roll this cable nicely in the evening, and put it at its place where it belongs, and then, in the morning it is all mambo-jumbo?
It happens to me all the time. First I get little knots in the cable, then, they tend to grow. The cable is long, so initially, I mostly ignore it (but start cursing inside of me, lol - even a coach curses, sometimes, mah!!!). After a while, the knots then tend to spread to more and more areas along the cable. Until there is the point, where I need to spend some time to untangle it.
It is the same but a slightly different case with socks. I have my favourite socks and those that I don't like that much. It appears to me that the washing machine knows this. Or someone who is living in the washing machine, the so-called washing machine sock eater. This sock-eater always keeps those socks that I favour. I mean, how big is a washing maching, right?
Now I put my socks in and then they go round and round. When I start hanging them up to dry, oftentimes, there is one sock missing. Not the one sock of the pair that I don't like, but one of the ones that I like. Hey - ow appealing is that? I go to the basket, and check - no sock. I nearly climb into the washing machine, and still no sock.
Where is it gone? And it doesn't happen only once, but often!!! Is it a conspiracy of the sock producing industry to keep their production running? Imagine, the loss of workplaces, if every pair of socks that you buy is lasting a long time? The number of socks produced would decline rapidly, and then, factories get closed, workers lose their job etc. So may be they have a secret re-call system in their socks that works, the moment the owner of a sock gets some feeling of affiliation with a sock. Then the washig machine monster comes and eats it up.
Result? I have to buy more pair of socks, and the industry is happy. Is there any truth in it? Haha
