Amazing Malaysia

It is just after Christmas. It is also just after New Year's Eve. In Europe, or at least in Germany, the period after Christmas and New Year is a very quiet, nearly dead period for any business. The only shoppers are those that return presents for any reason.

Nobody likes to go out, the pockets are empty, and people rejuvenate until the February period, when Carnival is on the cards.

Not in Malaysia. I was amazed yesterday and today, that the roads are congested, the shopping malls are packed. Okay, here in Malaysia, many people spend their leisure time in the malls, while in Germany, may go out for a walk in parks, the forests or along rivers. That might be the difference.

Still, people in Malaysia don't only stroll in malls, and leave the shops aside. They actually go shopping, spend money and look out for new stuff. WoW, while I am not sure if that is that good, considering the relentless increase in costs, it truly shows that Malaysia is an amazing shopping paradise.
