AirAsia and cheap flights to the UK

I don't actually care if the cheap flights to the UK by AirAsia will be realised now, or next year, or in two years. What I am admiring is the ability of Tony Fernandes and his team to ask provoking questions, think outside the box, and to have ideas that are unconventional.

So it is okay for me if they are playing with the idea to offer cheap thrill flies to the UK for RM9.99 or even RM999. It is so easy for the rest of us to immediately say no, it doesn't work, because of - and then we come up with all kinds of reasons.

Hey - remember, about 100 years back, the people travelled around with horses - no cars. When cars came about, everybody thought it is just a fad.

When movies came about where actors actually moved, people thought that this is an impossible thing as well.

When TV came about, people thought that no one is interested in sitting in front of such thing in the evenings.

Look around you - every time, someone comes up with something great, the rest of us says cannot tis, cannot that.

I believe that it is possible. Because, once such an idea has been launched, is in people's mind, it will be there, and one day, the outcome will come about as well. And then, the rest of us is left to say - Ohhhh, that is how they did it. It is just what we believe, And beliefs can hold us back, you know!

And happily ever after, we will travel to the UK, or anywhere else. Wanna bet?
