The challenges of a magic Thank You
No, no NLP this time.
Just think of the magic words we parents teach our children. Those word are "please", thank you" and "sorry".
My boy knows them well. So well, that they are coming back to "haunt me".
Everytime I am asking him to "go to shower", "brush your teeth", "do your work" or "why don't you eat your vegetables", I hear a "No, Thank You."
How to counter THAT one?

Have they, by any chance, been watching "Nanny McPhee" lately?

The're smart, the young ones. I thaught mine to say "Excuse me..." when she wants to interrupt a conversation and now she does it all the time as soon as my husband and I start to talk.

Cute, isn't it? They will learn what it is all about and this is just one way to learn for them. I actually enjoy it :)

simple ..say to him
"Thank you, for going to bed early" :P
Andreas:
Ah - thanks Serge. I tried this. What I get back is a simple no. But hey, I manage and in the end, he is seeing the sense in what I am advising. :)
