Fasting - a second thought
I wrote the other day that fasting can assist us in personal change. We are running on mental programs all the time. So could it be that the brain has been trained to expect this period in a year, where we don't eat and drink? The first few days are tough, of course, but then, when the neurons lit up and the connections get stronger, it becomes easier.
The signal in the evening - food, water - restarts the parts of the brain that runs our usual self. Could it be that easy and fasting explained that way?
